Description:
SOLD....Antique Remington Derringer. This is a very nice Remington Derringer Model 95 type 3. This is the most popular type that you mostly will find.... Caliber of course is the .41 Rim Fire...S/N 916 and matching on barrel and frame under left grip. The hinges are perfect and not cracked or repaired. There is VERY slight movement at the barrel and frame junction but still very shootable if you wish. These are very easy to tighten up also. This gun has quite a bit of original nickel finish. The barrels have about 95% with just a little missing on the left side of the barrels on the breech end. {see photo }... The frame has about 30% remaining. Very hard to tell as the metal where the nickel is missing has been very lightly cleaned to blend with the nickel but at a very close look with bright light it is pretty easy to see and hope you can see the difference in my photos. Some very minor pin pricks where the nickel is missing also, so this makes it easier to see also. The markings are excellent. The mechanics are excellent as well with the proper firing pin rotation from the top to the bottom barrel. Both hammer notches are perfect as well. Just traces of blue on the hammer and the trigger... Screws are excellent and show no abuse from tinkering. Extractor works as it should as does the barrel locking lever. The bores are very good for this model as most of these you will find have completely shot out or rust pitted bores with very little to no rifling visible. The bores on this gun show very good rifling with some normal pitting and would serve well at “over the card table” distance... {see photos}... The grips are very nice with no cracks or chips and show some normal dings and slight wear to the checkering from normal use and carrying. I have two original .41 RF rounds that came with the gun and will be included in the sale also. This is a pretty nice Remington Derringer with quite a bit of finish remaining with good hinges and good bores for the money. The price includes free insured shipping!!!!
