Here we present a Rare Harrington & Richardson Top Break Double Action Revolver with the Folding Dagger in .32 S&W made in Worcester, Massachusetts circa 1901-1917. In 1875 Gilbert Harrington and former Frank Wesson employee, William Augustus Richardson, formed the new Harrington & Richardson Company. In 1888 the firm was incorporated as The Harrington & Richardson Arms Company. Their original capital investment was $75,000. Harrington was president, Richardson was treasurer, and George F. Brooks was secretary. This 6-shot revolver would have been ideal to keep in a pocket or a small holster for self-defense in the turbulent early 20th Century. And, have a knife for “back-up” should you run out of ammo! The H&R knife revolver is one of the rarest production revolvers ever made for the company. It is estimated that roughly 2000 of the folding knife revolvers were manufactured by Harrington & Richardson. They were manufactured in both the 2nd and 3rd models. They were the same as the regular Auto-Ejector models, except they were equipped with a 4-inch barrel and a 2 ¼ inch double edge knife attached under the barrel. The only finish listed in the catalogs was nickel, but some blue finished examples have been known to exist. The overall condition is near fine. 90% of the original nickel finish remains with strong blue accents. The markings are clear. The trademarked grips are in good shape. The bore is dark with strong rifling. The action is excellent. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4 inches. Caliber: .32 S&W Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.
