Description:
Winchester 1885 Low Wall. Caliber 32 W.C.F. ( 32-20 ) Everything on this rifle was special ordered from the factory. Has a #2 weight barrel. Octagon. ( standard was a #1 in this caliber ). 30" barrel. ( standard was 28" in this caliber ). Single set trigger, plain pistol grip, swiss buttplate, and Mid range rear & Beach front sight. The serial # search from Cody notes all of these features, which will be included. Not much, if any, of the nickel remains on the butt plate. Bore & chamber area is good to very good. Receiver is a grey & silver mix. Blue on barrel is appro. 30%. The trigger works fine in both positions. Wood has some small handling marks. Ebony inserts on forearm tip & grip cap.
In "The Winchester Book", George Madis states that "pistol grip stocks of standard grain walnut are rare. Most pistol grip stocks have fancy walnut"
The following will be included : 200 ea. new Starline brass and 197 ea. once fired cases. 200 ea. Montana hard cast .313 bullets. Excellent RCBS Die set and a Lyman "M" die. It will be shipped with the butt stock removed. Antique, ships directly to you.
