Description:
Here is a very respectable offering of the fabulous Pre War Model 70 in versatile 30-06 caliber. S/N 30*** with matching bolt made in 1940. There are a few light bumps and bruises, but a really solid rifle with all correct components, original finishes and NO extra drill holes, including the rear bridge. Barrel is 24" with an excellent mirror bore. Mechanical function is also excellent. Finishes are about 95% overall with some scattered dings to wood and light scratches on barrel, all clearly shown in photos. Unaltered Pre War 70s are expensive, and worth every penny! This is a very worthy example of the finest sporting rifle ever created and one that you would be proud to own.
