Rare U.S. Springfield 1875 Officers Model Trapdoor Type II. Only 477 are known to be made. Rifle is overall great condition. Barrel has brown patina with areas of pitting between the barrel band and the metal nose cap. Engraving is typical Type II pattern. Lock and receiver have traces of case coloring with mottling. All markings are crisp and clear. Stock shows beautiful checkering and is marked “91”. Inspector mark noted below trigger guard. Great looking Officers model!
