Here is another nice old Marlin 97. This rifle has a tang sight which seems high quality but I can't find a name on it- Lyman?. The barrel sights look original to me. Very fine bore with solid wood- no cracks or missing pieces, just a few dings that a 100+ year old .22 will pick up it its lifetime. Original Marlin buttplate. I've shot this rifle and it is very accurate as most old Marlins are (Annie Oakley knew her guns). I always use standard velocity .22s in old rifles and would recommend the buyer would do the same. They are more pleasant to shoot and more accurate. This is a rifle you can shoot and enjoy while it grows in value. $50 shipping and insurance to your ffl or C&R.
