Blade measures right around 6 3/4 inch. Knife total length is approx. 11.5 inches. The WW1 1918 blades were infamous for breaking. GI or paratrooper most likely did their own conversion. The blade and handle are tight with no play. Blade is sharp as a razor but no sharpening evident. The hexagonal nut on the pommel was removed when they welded the new blade on. Price is firm. I will cover shipping. One of a kind knife. These knives have been used by GIs throughout all of our conflicts up to present day. Great collectible piece. SOLD |
