This first production year Colt Sauer Grand African .458 Win. Mag. remains in very good condition. Most would look at this rifle and never guess that it was manufactured 45 years ago. Though the stock shows a couple of small dings, the finish remains in great shape and has not begun to separate and flake away. And of course, the action retains that trademark glassy smoothness.

Metal Condition: Factory finish remains very good, overall. If not for the scuffs on either side of the front sight ramp, condition would be rated excellent.
Wood Condition: Factory finish remains very good to excellent with sharp checkering and a few handling marks. Shows a small ding on the rim of the grip cap and another near the tip of the fore end.
Bore Condition: Bright
