Description:

Pair of Continental Saddle pistols. Possibly Dutch. Both guns are relief chiseled. Barrels show a figure of a woman, helmeted soldiers on horseback, and a panoply of arms. The spurred buttcaps depict battle scenes with mounted soldiers in a tented encampment all chiseled en suite with the barrels. Barrels are 12½"" in length and overall guns are 20½"" long. Actions work perfectly. Stocks have edges molded around the lock, barrel tang, and trigger guard finial. Very eye appealing pair. Circa 1750.
