Whitney Arms, whitney-scharf lever action repeater rifle 44-40, 24" octagonal barrel. Manufactured in 1886 serial #273, these models were only manufactured for two years from 1886-1888, less then 2000 were made. The bore on this is in good shape, gun has not been altered, this model has a sliding dust cover over the loading gate. The last fire model that whitney arms offered. This is a nice example of a collectable historical firarm. Price $$2250 and $45 shipping and handling.
