This attractive and 100% original and matching Type 14 Nambu was undoubtedly captured and brought home from WW2. It is a Nagoya Army Arsenal-Toriimatsu Factory (2nd Series) manufactured example, dated "18.11" which translates to November 1943. All of the serial numbered parts including the magazine are matching, and the blue finish is factory original. By this time in production a hot salt blue was being used rather than the earlier rust blue. The blue finish on this Type 14 is still beautiful and rates 95%. There are only some very light handling marks and high edge wear visible under inspection and thinning of the the grip strap's blue finish. All small parts are blued or in the white as "strawing" was never imployed at the Toriimatsu Factory. The bore in this Nambu is bright and clean. The rifling still shows sharp lands and grooves and there is no pitting, erosion, or imperfections of any kind. The original 24 groove Mahogany grips are in good condition overall, free from cracks, repairs, or missing chunks and number to the gun. They still show so a lot of the gloss factory sealant intact, and show handling wear consistent with a pistol that saw combat but was well cared for. This pistol comes with one original factory magazine, serial numbered to the gun. It is in excellent condition with 96% plus of the original blue finish intact on the body and a strong follower spring. Everything works on this Japanese pistol 100% like the day it left the factory during WW2. Includes the original brown leather Type 14 holster that is in very nice condition. The ammo pouch even has an original WW2 8mm Nambu spent casing inside. Since it made it to the States as a war trophy it has spent the vast majority of it's time in storage. If you have been looking for a clean and all-original Type 14 Nambu Rig to add to your WW2 Axis Military gun collection this would be a great choice.
