Description:
This original - 45-70 Trapdoor - Springfield - Model 1873 rifle has a round tapered 1" to 11/16" x 31" barrel with the original 1873 trapdoor adjustable rear sight. The bore has a good bore with sharp rifling a few light scattered pits. The P grade Walnut stock is mounted with iron furniture, including sling swivels. There is an unrepaired crack running though the lock bolt. Stamped on the heal of the butt plate is US. The trapdoor breech block is dated US Model 1873. Stamped on the lock plate is US Springfield, 1873 and the spread eagle. Length of pull is 13-1/4". Please Note: There is good color remaining on the action. Good wood to metal fit - made by Springfield Armory. Condition: Very Good. Over all length is 51-1/2 and weight is 8.8 Lbs. Our stock number is #A625.
