Description:
This is a US Army-inspected and accepted, 1942-production Smith & Wesson Victory Model Revolver in .38 Special. It is all-matching other than the grips, which are rarely found matching the gun they're mounted on. This gun is a "G.H.D."-proofed Army Supply Program procured revolver, which indicates that it was issued to either the Army, the Navy, or the OSS, and it was not used as a war plant guard gun. Surprisingly, most of these Army-marked Victory Models were sent to the US Navy, and if you took the time to get a factory letter from Smith and Wesson it will likely tell you that it was shipped to the US Navy.
Second to the M1911 pistol, this was the most widely issued US military side arm of World War II. These pistols were used extensively by the US Navy and it became their primary side arm and the preferred side arm of Naval Aviation air crew. This is a very solid example and they must be in every US martial pistol collection. It is highly uncommon to see one of these in such crisp condition.

Shipping
We ship firearms via UPS. They must be sent to an FFL. Hand guns must travel via Air, whilst long guns and other items can go via Ground. Non-firearm accessories, such as magazines, can be shipped via USPS Priority Mail at the customer's request. We provide tracking numbers with all of our transactions. - If paying by credit card, store policy is to ship to the billing address of the card.
- If paying by Money Order, we can ship to wherever it's legal.
- The exception is, obviously, serialized items.
Legal Policy
