This Merkel 203 E Sidelock O/U Shotgun in 16/70 from 1980 is a very fine example of German craftsmanship. LOP is 14.5 inches. Weight is approx. 6.7 lbs 7oz. This Sidelock O/U has very nice deep exclusive engraving on the side locks with Dog and 4 Ducks on the right side, Dog, three hens and a hare on the left side. Country Side fill. This gun has the exclusive deep relief animal engraving from the Merkel 303E which greatly increases the value. Chokes are Modified and Modified Improved in the 28 in Barrels.
There are NO importer’s markings anywhere on the gun.
Today's value is in excess of $ 14.000.
This is truly a great value for an investment or just a beautiful gun to hunt with.
This is a fine example of a great O/U Shotgun. It will definitely make some collector or shooter very happy.
