1980 vintage Ruger Model 44 Standard Carbine chambered in .44 Remington Magnum. Produced from 1959-1985, the Model 44 featured 18-1/2" barrel, 4 shot capacity, blow back action, iron sights and a curved metal butt plate. This Ruger is in very nice condition and appears to have been used very little. The bore is perfect and all functions work as the should. The stock is free of any cracks or repairs and shows only light handling marks. The finish would rate at 95% with a few tiny spots on top of the receiver and wear on the loading gate. These handy little rifles are a favorite among black bear hunters and would make a great short range deer rifle in those "shotgun only" states where the .44 magnum is now allowed.
