Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: This is a scarce original 1906 DWM Brazilian Contract Luger in .30 Luger caliber in average condition. Unfortunately almost every Brazilian Luger we see is in average to poor condition. These 5,000 1906 Lugers were all issued to the Brazilian Military and were not only used hard during their military service, but they were in service in a country that has a very tropical environment that is inhospitable to guns in general. When they were finally replaced, they were packed into barrels of grease and sold off as surplus by the Brazilian Government. This particular example is serial number 1967 and has a lot more original finish than most. Most of the original factory blue finish is still intact but some areas show a brown patina to them. There is some scattered light pitting on the grip straps, and while the gun shows some light handling marks and finish wear there are no real eyesores. All of the parts on this Luger are consistent with each other and that gives the gun an attractive original look to it. The bore in this 1906 Brazilian Contract Luger is poor, showing very little to no rifling left. There are no deep pits or bulges, etc. that would make the gun unsafe, just a lack of rifling to make it as accurate as it was intended to be. The original checkered Walnut grips are worn down to semi-smooth but both sides are solid with no cracks, or repairs. The wood on both sides is dark from being soaked in grease/oil. All of the controls on this Brazilian Luger are in perfect working order, and the toggle-action locks into battery perfectly. It is however, missing the hold-open internally so it will not lock open on the last round. The new owner if he or she chooses can add a replacement. This Brazilian DWm comes with a well-made reproduction magazine that is in excellent condition. We tested it with dummy rounds and it seems to feed and eject flawlessly. If you have been looking for one of these scarce Brazilian Lugers here is your chance to get a good looking example at a great price.
