Double Action Self Defense Revolver!
Here we present an antique Iver Johnson “AMERICAN BULL DOG” First Model Double Action Revolver in .44, made circa 1882. The revolver was a small, sturdy, well-built self-defense weapon, ideal for potent conceal and carry in the late-19th and early 20th Centuries!
This revolver features a double action trigger and five shots of .44 caliber center fire. The top of the frame is marked “AMERICAN BULL DOG” and the grips have an eagle molded into them. The entirety is very nicely nickel plated.
The overall condition is fine. 97% of the original nickel plate finish remains. The markings are clear. The grips are fine. The bore is strong. The action is excellent. Please note that the firing pin has been intentionally removed from the hammer so this revolver will not fire.
