Payment Types Accepted: AmEx, Discover, Master Card, Visa, Money Order, Certified Check, Personal Check (item held until check cleared) Description: This is an excellent, all-matching, original "bcd4" code Long Side Rail sniper.Although coded for Gustloff, it was actually produced by Sauer (as evidenced by the 37 proof and the final inspection on the top side of receiver and all blued finish.) around March or April of 1944.  The other fact you will notice is all the Parts such as Bands Floor Plate are all Numbered Gustloff did not Number these Parts . Only SAUER did this and Gustloff LSR`s had NO Letter Suffix . The Scope & Mount are also from/for a SAUER as it has a Letter Suffix .(Thank you Dave Roberts) The scope base and mount are numbered, but they do not match rifle's serial. The rifle itself is all-matching. The butt plate is checkered and the safety is a pre-key, early, milled-down example, which is correct for this rifle. The scope is the original "CAD"-coded, Kahles-made scope with the recoil ring, which is correct for the Long Side Rail. The scope optics are sharp. This is a completely factory original genuine German WW2 Sniper rifle. The Long Side Rail is not an easy gun to duplicate, as the receiver is made thicker specifically to accept a scope mount, making it nearly impossible to convert a normal K98 to this configuration. Having a real genuine K98 Sniper rifle is a goal that few collectors can obtain, as they are rare and the cost is substantial, but it is certainly the dream of every collector to have the chance to own one.
