Description:
For your consideration we have a beautiful John Rigby & Co. magazine rifle built on a Mauser action. The barrel bears Rigby's St. James St. London address, and the bottom metal is engraved Mauser, Oberndorf. The scope rings are marked with the caliber .275 Rigby and with the Rigby serial number, which is also found on the trigger guard. The gun comes with a somewhat worn, but structurally sound luggage style case with a Sackville St addressed lable on the inside lid, and a test target from Rigby dated 1997, likely from when the scope was installed. Overall, a wonderful example of turn of the century English gunmaking, and still in very fine condition for its age.
