Description:
Available today is a very nice 1947 Browning A5. It is chambered in 12g with 2 3/4" chambers. The 27 1/2" barrel is marked as a modified choke with 2 stars and has an excellent bore. Nice original stock with minimal crazing with the original plastic FN buttplate that is in excellent condition. There is a hairline crack on the left flat of the stock adjacent to the receiver that will be an easy fix. The engraving is really some quality work that is very pleasing to the eye. There is a very small "dent" just below the engraving just aft of the barrel on the receiver. Also a scuff on the bottom of the barrel about 2" back from the muzzle. A few dings on the bottom of the buttstock and on the fore end in front of the receiver. Overall this gun was used and not abused, retains most of it's original blue and has superb quality engraving on what was likely a good day for the engraver. In order to protect your investment, all long guns over $500 must be shipped in a hard case. Minimum shipping at this level is $55 and includes the hard case. Shipping cost could increase depending on value or weight of the firearm. For long guns less than $500, we still recommend the purchase of a hard case, again to protect your investment. These numbers are for shipping to the lower 48. There is also a 3% surcharge for customers using a credit card on internet sales.
