Another extraordinary example of the incomparable Pre War Winchester 70 in versatile 30-06 Caliber.
This one is S/N 55*** with matching bolt made in 1946 but comprised of 100% Pre War components and finishes. Condition is outstanding for its 73 years of age at near 98% Blue and Varnish with all correct components, original finishes and NO extra drill holes, including the rear bridge. The Barrel is 24" with an excellent bore. The mechanical function is also excellent. As stated before, unaltered Pre War 70s are more expensive and worth every penny! This is a stellar example of the finest sporting rifle ever created, chambered in what could arguably be the greatest all-around caliber ever created. For me... that is a winning combination.
