Description:
A really nice mid-war German K98 rifle manufactured by Mauser Borsigwalde (Wartime manufacturer code AR). Rifle is a bolt mis-match meaning rifle itself is all matching except the bolt which is matching to itself. Rifle is from the a block so manufactured early in the year and includes all the mid-war simplifications manufacturers were implementing to speed up production. Stock shows light use but no issues or cracks, interesting it still has the wax german troops used as sealer around the barrel\receiver and stock to waterproof weapons. Rifle includes a correct K98 wartime sight hood and cleaning rod. Bolt in rifle is from a Gustloff (BCD) rifle of the same timeframe so a nice match to the rifle. This would make an excellent first K98 for a new collector or a great place holder until a matching rifle comes along, AR rifles are not the easiest to find. Rifle condition overall is very high and looks even better in hand.
Rifle is sold as a collectible, if you wish to shoot it the rifle should be checked by a qualified gunsmith.
