This rifle's serial number is 318647. It was made between 1922 to 1941. There were no take down models after 1941. The barrel is the 24 inch style. The pistol gripped stock is checkered as well as the forend. The checkering shows wear and field use. There is one small chip wood loss by the top tang. The take down assembly is tight with no play. the bore is bright with sharp lands. The action works smoothly. The lever shows traces of color cased finish. The stock has the original butt plate. The original bluing would rate a strong 80% overall condition. This is a honest used Savage that can still give great service in the field!
