This Winchester was produced in 1939. The shotgun's serial number is 778111. It has a 26 inch solid rib barrel choked Full. It has the early style 5 1/2 inch round pump handle. The stock and forend have very stunning oil finished wood! The checkering is very fine with the points sharp with no flattening or damage. The bore is bright with no frosting or other issues. The take down feature is tight with no play. The English style stock has no cracks or damage. The Winchester butt plate fits correctly on the stock and shows no sign of being replaced. The "Pull" is 14 1/4 Inches. The ivory center bead is a unusual feature on the rib. The shotgun is factory chambered to shoot 2 3/4 inch shells. The engraving is in the style of Winchester's Number 5 Engraving with gold inlay. This is a very good copy of this style engraving. This is not a Winchester engraved shotgun. If you have a copy of Dave Riffle's Book - The Greatest Hammerless Repeating Shotgun Ever Built The Model 12 1912-1964. Go to page 50 And 51 to see this style of engraving. This shotgun copy's this engraving very closely. The engraving is sharp and clean. It is well done and looks fantastic! This is a great looking Winchester that the collector can shoot and have fun without worrying about possibly damaging a valuable original engraved Winchester.
