Description:
Winchester 1895 Take Down Model in 30 U.S. Caliber. This rifle is in 60-70% condition using Blue Book of Gun Values - PPGS Conditioning. The bore is bright and shiny and rates a "10". The take down action is tight and the lever action is crisp. Mechanically this rifle is in excellent condition. The stock and forearm have been checkered and refinished by renowned gun stock maker Byron (Bud) Chaples. The receiver has been drilled and tapped for a Lyman 21 rear sight. There are 2 metal tags, one on the forearm and one on the stock, which have no markings on them. I am not familiar with why they are there.
The Blue Book list the value in this condition, for the take down model, at $3390 - $3900. I am asking $2250. If interested make an offer.
