Description:
.45 caliber, 26" octagon twist steel barrel, casehardened at the breech with two platinum bands and three leaf express sight. Beautiful birds eye maple straight grip stock checkered on the forend and at the wrist and ending with a blued steel buttplate. Engraved bar action lock and hammer with bolted safety. Charcoal blued triggerguard with grip extension on the lower tang. In lovely condition with the barrel showing much of the brown finish. The lock is faded to gray. Trigger guard and buttplate have areas of bright blue with the remainder graying. Beautiful stock and excellent checkering. Excellent bore with sharp rifling. LOP: 13 7/8" Weight: 4lbs 11oz. Overall length: 41" In it's original mahogany partioned box with many accessories and the original Purdey label in the lid. All in very fine condition. Mfg. 1828
