Description:
Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are rightfully proud to offer this stunning masterpiece of engraving carved into a second genny Colt. Made in the year of our Lord 1956, this was the first year Colt restarted production of its venerable model 1873, not made since the 1940's. Westerns began to dominate the movies, and then the newly invented small screen. Losing sales to Great Western Arms, Colt got back into production to arm the myriad of actors. This particular gun is fitted with a 5 1/2 inch barrel and is chambered in Colt's own .45 Long. In 2012, she was fully adorned by master engraver Santiago Leis of Silver Springs, Florida. The detail of the engraving is amazing, and is enhanced by the contrast of deep, rich blue against gold plating of screws, backstrap, and trigger guard. The icing on the cake is a nicely fitted one piece ivory grip with just the right amount of aging. Finally, it comes in a beautiful wood presentation case. Everything is in near flawless condition. I received this wheel gun tethered, and it will go out the same way. Characteristic of the second generation guns, four digits of the serial number are stamped on the end of the cylinder. If you have been looking for the right Single Action to collect or for investment, but want a real showstopper, then look no further.
