Colt U.S. 1911A1, caliber 45 auto, s/n 1737000, near mint condition, 95% or better. Year of Manufacture 1944 according to serial number. Comes with period holster and WW2 U.S. Army M1936 Pistol Belt marked with LTC Clayton T. Burns. Holster marked U. S. Warren Leather Goods on back. Barrel guages just under .45. Marked with Gothic C inside a square on right near link pin and an up arrow with a superscripted swoosh character on the left side of the link pin. Polished feed ramp.
Original, not arsonel or other rework.
Left side of frame marked with GHD, P and triangle proof near trigger housing. Right frame marked with military crossed cannon cartouch at top left of grip. Magazine marked with Colt .45 Auto on base. P on top of slide near rear sight.
