Description:
Caliber 45-70. 28 inch barrels with near excellent bores, matted rib and sling eyes. Open field on the rib is marked "Wilkinson & Son Gun Maker to Her Majesty. Pall Mall London". This company is known today as "Wilkinson Sword". Rifle has been re chambered to 45-70. Sights include an ivory beaded blade front sight and folding leaf express sight marked "Express 50", "Express 100", "Martini 200" and "Martini/Bullet 300". Barrels retain most all of a very nice reblue. Action features full coverage fine floral scroll engraving. Case hardened frame has aged to a pleasing antique patina. Beautiful English Walnut stocks are checkered and in good condition with some light finish added.
