Description: This is a fairly accurate representation of the original 1920s era Thompson Sub-Machine Gun. It of course uses a longer barrel to meet NFA requirements. The gun also fires from a closed bolt rather than the original’s open bolt design to prevent illegal full auto conversions. This carbine is in fairly excellent condition with some minor finish loss due to rust that has been removed. Essentially, the compensator and some of the forward barrel fins developed a minor amount of rust and this has since been cleaned. To repair the small slots of finish loss, a simple touch-up bluing would suffice. The M1927A1 is a popular firearm thanks to its very close appearance to the original Thompson sub-gun as it appeared in the 1920s. Other versions are also available, one of which duplicates the appearance (except for barrel length) of the U.S. Army’s Thompson M1A1 sub-guns used during the World War. The M1927A1 shown here comes with its original case and three 30-round stick magazines.
