This is a rather minty Danish military pistol that was purchased from the Belgian manufacturer Bergman Bayard as part of the first contract. Later guns were produced under license by the Danish government at their own arsenals.
The condition on this all matching gun is just super. The gun retains about 95-96% of the original factory blue. The loss is the usual muzzle, slide rails, sharp edge silvering and just light scattered pinpricks. The "in the white" bolt, hammer and the trigger have some very slight surface flaking. The loss of finish is typical of light holster wear. There are no rust spots, scratches or rub marks anywhere. The grip straps have not started to gray.
All serial numbers match including the magazine which indeed is unusual. The right side of the barrel, frame and slide are covered Belgian proof marks. The right rear of the slide has the Danish army serial number 3885. The left rear has the small Crown/D Danish Army stamp.
The early wooden grips are almost flawless retaining about 99% of the original lacquer. There is one tiny surface nick at the rear of the right grip. The grip screw is undamaged. The slide rail, bolt face and feed ramp show no sign of use.
The bore really quite fine. Very bright with sharp rifling and just a touch of light scattered frost. It would be very difficult to find a nicer example at anywhere near this price........$3295.
