Description:
Here is a rare and highly sought after original box for a Smith & Wesson .357 Registered Magnum. This is the Type II style box which shows a Registered Magnum with Magna style grips. These were used from 1935 up until just before WWII for the Non-Registered Magnums. The box measures 15.25"x 5.25" and while these were used indiscriminately for any barrel length, they are typically proper for any .357 with a 6" barrel up to the longest 8 3/8”. The box remains in very nice all original condition with good color and strong corners. There is some old tape residue as seen which can certainly be cleaned up and improved. Overall a very hard to find box!
