Description:
This Remington Model 1907/15 is in excellent condition with a 32 1/2 inch barrel that has a clean bore with good rifling. The Remington Model 1907/15 is a bolt action rifle that was contracted to production for the French Army. Remington was contracted to produce 200,000 of these rifles but the contract was canceled after approximately 10,000 to 20,000 were built that were then sold on private markets. Although very well finished the rifle were rejected because they did not meet French barrel rifling and chamber dimensional standards. Even though these rifles were rejected many of them did end up being used in the French foreign legion. This is rifle is truly a great piece of history and would look really good in a collection.
