Medium Frame Colt Lightning; .44-40 (.44WCF); 26" octagonal barrel; checkered fore-end. checkering is very worn; virtually no bluing left; barrel flats are rounded over near receiver (presumably from wrench slippage); bore is decent but worn (still shoots well); action screw slots are buggered up; complete set of replacement action screws included. Curved steel butt plate; buckhorn rear sight.
Serial number 69561; manufactured in 1893.
Was my grandfathers gun. I don't know how or when he acquired it.
