Description:
Serial #55671, 16 Bore, 29 1/2" barrels with excellent, bright bores. This is an interesting gun built with deeply cut, straight rifling in the left tube (which is slightly oversized at the muzzle as a result). The barrels have retained 85-90% of the original blue finish with silvering at the muzzle, and along the sides of the breech. The frame and back-action locks have an overall bright gray patina with traces of original color case-hardening on protected areas. The walnut buttstock has numerous small handling marks and minor blemishes in the thick varnish finish, and the buttplate is bright gray. The gun is fitted with a shotgun bead, and rear rifle-type sight on the rib, and the lock-up is tight with fully functional locks. These interesting guns were made to fulfill a Swedish hunting requirement for a dual purpose “rifled" arm for small game that did not disrupt shot patterns when used for birds.
