Description:
Scarce Box of Savage 303 full metal jacket cartridges. This original box houses all of its original rounds. Head stamp SA Co 303 Sav. The cases show spots of old corrosion. The 2 pieces box is cover marked No 1 (Full patch). The front face shows the graphics of the cartridge with the metal cased bullet. The box ends show the Savage Indian head logo and the No 1 Savage 303 steel jacket. The bottom of the box is missing. These metal jacket cartridges were primarily built for use in the various Limited Production savage Military Muskets. A scarce and seldom found cartridge box. This box was sourced out of Canada. it may have been supplied by Savage to go with the 1914 Montreal Home guard muskets.
