Drastically Reduced
One of the very rarest of all Lugers, is the American Eagle "Fat Barrel". There were only 600 "Fat Barrel" ever made. According to factory records and all of them came to the U.S. Not surprisingly the "Fat Barrels" are even scarcer than the coveted 1000 U.S. Test Eagles.
This 116-year-old "Cabinet Queen" is in super condition. It retains about 95-96%+ of the original factory blue. The slight loss is due to some sharp edge silvering, light side plate wear and some very minor scattered pin pricks. The grip straps and grip safety show only very slight toning. The strawed parts have faded to a bright silver with a few tiny pin pricks as is natural due to aging. All parts match.The matching walnut grips show little or no sign of wear. No chips or cracks or dings anywhere. The grip screws are perfect.
In addition to the American Eagle stamp, it has all the proper proofs. “Germany” is stamped on the frame. The feed ramp, bolt face and slide rails show very little use. The bore, like the rest of the gun, shows very little use. It is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling with just a touch of frost. It comes with the original wood based magazine properly stamped in script, "CAL "9 mm" which is in indeed quite rare.
