Description:
Outstanding example of an early post-war Pre 64 Winchester 70 in amazing 30-06 caliber. S/N 216*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1952. This rifle is very clean inside and out, and did not appear to have ever been opened up or tampered with in any way when I inspected it. It has the desirable early solid bolt knob and straight stock comb. 24" Barrel with excellent bore and excellent mechanical function. All components are correct as usual. Condition is excellent at 98% Blue. The wood is just about as nice with a few superficial marks scattered about, say 97%. Considered a fairly "common" caliber as far as Pre 64 70s go but in a quite uncommon condition!
