This is a beautiful Savage 99F in 300 Savage with upgraded wood. The rifle itself is in immaculate condition with no wear whatsoever. The lever still has all the varnish and it appears unused. The bluing is gorgeous. No riding around in a Jeep with this one.
The wood is Savage factory wood used on the upgraded and embellished 99 PE rifle, and fitted perfectly to this lightweight 99F and really pops with it's satin finish. The wood alone was a $600 upgrade.
The package is completed with a Savage labeled 4x scope from the same era mounted in Savage rings. The optics are clear and bright and condition matches the rifle, which is to say very nice!
All in all, this rifle just screams Savage class. You won't see another like it.
The only blemish I can find is that the tang has cracked and been repaired, securely stabilized. Otherwise, this rifle is pristine and very desirable.
