This is a 99G takedown rifle in good, used condition. There are no cracks in the stocks, no extra holes in the wood or metal, it has original metal and wood finishes, original Savage sights, correct wood and buttplate, pretty good bluing and wood, with some dinks and scratches from hunting and some scratches from someone trying to remove the barrel with the action closed no doubt. Not bad, but present. The takedown feature is tight and works perfectly, no slop. Everything indexes perfectly and works perfectly. No weirdness. The bore is prisitne and this rifle should shoot very well. The only downside is cosmetic but if you want a great takedown that stows away easily and kills game with authority, this may be for you. I'd hate to see someone beat it, but you can use this rifle without loss of value as you would have with a higher condition rifle. If I wasn't raising capital for a real estate purchase this rifle wouldn't be going anywhere.
