Nice early model 1851 Navy Colt revolver all matching serial numbers S/N 36584. Very good cylinder sceen with sharp Ormsby signature. Some original blue finish remains, Slight remains of varnish on grips. Grips have three "kill marks?" on right side. action functions properly, nice tight gun. Minor surface patina overall. Some silver plate remains on strap and trigger guard.
Gun comes with a decent, hand tooled, California slim jim holster in good condition. Stitching is good, a little separated near the toe but can be fixed quite easily. Brass rivets holding the belt loop in place. Color of holster is a deep, dark, redish brown.
Old Barbary Coast, Gold Rush Era gun manufacured in 1854. Probably saw the elephant and the golden west. The kill marks could be from those violent years of the gold rush. Great history there
