This is a very nice copy of the Colt Single Action Army revolver by the Italian firm FAP F.LLI Pietta called the 1873 Great Western II Deluxe Stainless Steel Model. This single action revolver features rust-resistant stainless steel construction, a 4.75" inch barrel, a 6-shot cylinder chambered in .45 Long Colt, and 1-piece faux Ivory grips. It comes complete with the original box, owner's manual, lock, and paperwork. This Great Western II model is one of the top-of-the-line models made by this company, and it is in excellent condition overall. Bought new by the original owner, this revolver has spent it's entire life in storage and is unfired since leaving the factory. The stainless steel is beautiful and shows only a few tiny handling marks visible only under very close inspection. As you can see from the pictures, the fit and finish of the parts on this gun is excellent, and very compable to the original Colts. The 1-piece faux Ivory grips are like-new, free from any wear, cracks, chips, or repairs. The bore in this single action revolver is minty and pristine. The rifling still looks brand-new and there are no visible imperfections. The cylinder bores are equally as clean. The action on this Great Western II is smooth and precise, and is perfectly "in-time" whether worked fast or slow. The cylinder locks up tight with no play and the trigger breaks very nicely with a light pull. This gun should be an excellent shooter. If you have been looking for a modern single action revolver for your collection that you can enjoy looking at as well as shooting, this 1873 Great Western II Deluxe Stainless Model would be an excellent choice. In like-new condition and priced at $450 it is a bargain compared to the $800 dollars plus they sell for new.
