This is a beautiful Savage pre-war 99R made in 1934 in 300 Savage with the upgraded checkering. This classy rifle is in great shape. It has no extra holes in metal or wood, no cracks, splits, or gouges in the wood, no sling studs, original finishes, original wood, original buttplate. It shows careful light use with minor scattered handling marks and virtually no blue wear, excepting the buttplate which is silver. It is unmolested and has the hard to find three point checkering to boot. Very nice rifle if you appreciate old rifles that have been very well taken care of.
