Here we have a one of a kind custom built benchrest rifle in .243 and .6PPC caliber with two barrels, custom built by Dan Dowling of Palisade,Colorado. The rifle has a McMillan benchrest stock in Green/Black high gloss. It has a 2 oz. Jewel trigger and both of the Shilen barrels are cryogenically treated giving them a unique exterior finish. Both barrels are 24 inches and both have a clean sharp bore. It's built on a Nesika Bay model E action. Please note: Both of these barrels are chambered with tight necks and require cases to be neck turned to dimension to fit the bore. The rifle is not safe with factory ammo until the cases are modified. The barrels can be re-chambered for factory ammo. The gun has a .308 Win bolt face and will shoot less than a half inch clusters. It currently wears a silver Burris Signature scope in 8-32 X 50 magnification. There is a level attached to the top of the scope as seen in the photos. Both the gun and scope are in excellent condition with no major dings or marks. The .243 barrel is ported. This would make a great starter rifle for a new benchrest competitor.
