Custom engraved by Colt Master Engraver, Larry Peters, this gun is done in the classic style of Colt Master, Cuno Helfricht who was employed at Colt from 1875 to 1920. The coverage is referred to as full "D", meaning that all of the gun's surface is engraved. The gun itself, serial number S28503A, is a 4 3/4 inch .45 third generation. After engraving, the gun was sterling silver plated, and the trigger, cylinder pin and all screws have been fire blued. the genuine elephant ivory grips were fitted by Nutmeg Sports. The gun is signed by the engraver on the front of the frame, under the cylinder pin hole. This is unquestionably a beautiful piece of artistry that can not be repeated, for Mr. Peters passed away last year. Sorry, no box or paper-work. Comes with documentation.
