Description:
This model, a slightly smaller version of the 1902 model, was designed as a pocket, rather than a holster gun. It was manufactured until 1929, when the new .38 Super Government Model hit the market, a much more powerful version of the 1911. This gun, serial number 19413, was manufactured in 1903, the first year of production. Sometime after 1930 it was returned to the factory for refinishing, and bears the ampers and mark on the right rear trigger guard. It is in perfect working order, has an excellent bore, and retains 90-95% factory blue finish. The attractive grips fit well and are in excellent condition. All screw-heads are unmolested and the hammer retains most all of its original color case-hardened finish. Seldom do we see any Colts manufactured in the first year of their production.
