Description:
Original antique Sharps cavalry carbine. Civil War issue with ID to Cavalry Trooper that carried this carbine. Has been converted to fire 50-70 centerfire cartridge by U.S. Govt for Indian War use. All metal parts have smooth age grey patina. No pitting. Stocks are fine original walnut stocks. Lock mechanics are fine. Excellent rifled bore. All marking clean and legible. Complete with saddle ring.
Documents accompany this rifle which ID this rifle to Union Cavalry Trooper Samuel Butler.
Very nice original U.S. military antique weapon. Served in Civil War and out West.
