Antique Marlin model 1893. Cal 32-40 .Made in 1894. 24 inch barrel. There is no major crack that I would think would require the bolt thru the stock. when I was researching this I saw photos of several of the older ones with a bolt or screw thru stock in this same area. Bore is surprisingly good. Deep grooves with no leading nor pitting.
