RARE CUSTOM VALMET M78 WITH 16 INCH LONG BARREL.
Valmet M78, milled receiver. AK47 style 7.62 x 51. Finland made. Pre 1989 ban. Comes with one one 5 round magazine. Barrel is 16 inches long. Muzzle flash suppresor with bayonet lug adds 3 more inches. Overall very good condition. Excellent bore bright shiny with good deep grooves.
THIS IS NOT A M76. VALMET M76 WERE MADE WITH STAMPED AND RIVITED RECEIVER. ALSO ON M76 THE WOOD OF THE STOCK MEETS THE METAL IN A STRAIGHT VERTICAL LINE. M78 WOOD MEETS THE METAL AT NEAR A 45 DEGREE ANGLE. ANY VALMET MILLED RECEIVER WITH NO MODEL NUMBER STAMP IS A M78. M76 AND M78 STOCKS ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE.
I HAVE FOUND INFORMATION THAT REFERENCED M78 WITH 16 INCH BARREL AS BEING A CUSTOM MADE JOB.
