What a beautiful treasure find this collector's estate gun. This original 1922 Springfield competition rifle was updated to a M2 In 1936. The brand new barrel is is stamped, S.A., Ordinance Flaming Bomb, 11-36. The gun looks like it hasn't been fired. The remaining original finish on both the blued and parkerized parts is about 99%. The little loss there is, is due to some very slight sharp edge silvering. There is no rust, scratches or rub marks anywhere. The balance of the metal parts are in the white and show only about a 5%.
The correct walnut stock retains about 85% of the original lacquer. There is a only single 1" surface dent and a few tiny dings that mar it's surface and the slight surface thinning fro handling. The bolt rails, bolt face and feed ramp have no evidence of use. The bore is super, mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. It comes complete with the original swivels, Ordinance Bomb stamped front sight hood, and one original magazine.
